10 After this the Lord appointed seventy-two others and sent them two by two ahead of him to every town and place where he was about to go. 2 He told them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field. 3 Go! I am sending you out like lambs among wolves. 4 Do not take a purse or bag or sandals; and do not greet anyone on the road.
5 “When you enter a house, first say, ‘Peace to this house.’ 6 If someone who promotes peace is there, your peace will rest on them; if not, it will return to you. 7 Stay there, eating and drinking whatever they give you, for the worker deserves his wages. Do not move around from house to house.
Big View: Person of Peace
Small View: Power – Presence – Perception

Observation: I perceive a person who is open is someone who likes you. There is a sense of peace, a good vibe. I also observe that being invited to dinner and not bouncing around is about being present to this person. Lastly, I observe that healing people who are sick and seeing God’s power released is important. Then, I actually have something to proclaim and can talk to them about God
Action: This Lent season, I am going to pay extra close attention to people who need healing in my everyday life and pray for them to see God’s power released into their lives.
Observation: Bring peace to the table first, not conflict. So often we Christians enter a conversation from a place of conflict and judgment (saying, here’s what you’re doing wrong).
Action: Just focus on the peace part, whether it’s a gentle word or a kind action. Let God open the next door.
Be a peaceful presence, without judgement or hurt towards another. Release the need to always be in control of the situation and let God take over.
Observation: Ask the Lord to send out more workers into His field…sounds like a person of peace to me!
Action: In this season of Lent I will ask God to show me persons of peace and then invite them into the work God has me doing.
