John 1:40-42 New International Version (NIV)
40 Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, was one of the two who heard what John had said and who had followed Jesus. 41 The first thing Andrew did was to find his brother Simon and tell him, “We have found the Messiah” (that is, the Christ). 42 And he brought him to Jesus.
Jesus looked at him and said, “You are Simon son of John. You will be called Cephas” (which, when translated, is Peter).

Observation: Once Andrew was convinced of Jesus’ true identity, he went and told his brother about it. Let’s be careful not to take the weight of his action too lightly, after all, it’s a big deal to claim that you know who the Messiah is. But, Andrew went to Simon and told him about it. He didn’t shy away. He didn’t let the “What if he thinks I’m crazy” voice that runs in all our heads at one time or another, talk him out of it. Andrew told Simon about Jesus.
Action: This week as I see opportunity, I concentrate on the lens of Proclamation, and watch where God has prepared someone to hear about the reality of the Messiah in my life. Where I see that door opening, I will do so. I won’t be preachy, condemning or judgmental, but I will use actual words and engage in a conversation about the One who has shown me the best Way to live my life. Andrew told Simon and I will tell others.
