31 At that time some Pharisees came to Jesus and said to him, “Leave this place and go somewhere else. Herod wants to kill you.”
32 He replied, “Go tell that fox, ‘I will keep on driving out demons and healing people today and tomorrow, and on the third day I will reach my goal.’ 33 In any case, I must press on today and tomorrow and the next day—for surely no prophet can die outside Jerusalem!
34 “Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those sent to you, how often I have longed to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, and you were not willing. 35 Look, your house is left to you desolate. I tell you, you will not see me again until you say, ‘Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.’”

Observation: WOW! Jesus will not be intimidated. I am blown away by His dogged determination and fortitude to keep on doing His Father’s will in the face of adversity. Jesus will not turn away from doing His Father’s will! He will continue to press on–driving out demons and healing people, even in the face of death
Action: I will not back down from doing the Father’s will in the face of adversity. I will not stop doing ministry in Jesus’ name when the heat is turned up and I am attacked or criticized (and I will be!) Lord, help me to press on today and the next day. Give me the strength to persevere—to drive out evil and bring healing into the lives of those I encounter. May I be Your prophet in the face of adversity. Lord, help me to PRESS ON! In Jesus’ name I pray, AMEN!
Observation: I see that there were people who tried to tell Jesus what to do. I see that I often try to do this as well. I maybe try to do it in a little nicer way but I try to do it all the same.
Action: Jesus, I confess that You’re the Master and I’m the follower. I will not tell You what to do but will seek Your way and submit to it.
observation: what catches my attention this morning is this phrase, Look, your house is left to you desolate. I tell you, you will not see me again until you say, ‘Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.’”
action: anywhere i am not saying Come Lord Jesus in my life is place i am leaving desolate. OK, i know one place that comes to mind now after pausing and listening. I will say with mouth now, Come Lord Jesus. But i will develop a plan to bring you into that place as Lord
