Where Are You Staying?

April 3, 2013 by Church Without Shoes

GOOD NEWS FOR THE JOURNEY

John 1:35-39 The next day John was there again with two of his disciples. When he saw Jesus passing by, he said, “Look, the Lamb of God!” When the two disciples heard him say this, they followed Jesus. Turning around, Jesus saw them following and asked, “What do you want?” They said, “Rabbi” (which means Teacher), “where are you staying?” “Come,” he replied, “and you will see.”

PERCEPTION // What I see/hear God saying/doing:
I hear You asking me, “Wayne, what do you want? What, deep down, do you really want?” And the truest part of me says, “You, Lord. I want You.” I want to be where You are. I want to be doing what You are doing. I want to do life with You and see what You have in store.

PLAN // What I am going to do about it:
I will ask this question as I journal on Mondays, “What do I really want?” And I will spend time reconnecting with the part of me that wants to live for Jesus, to follow His call to “come, come and see”.

PRAYER // Seal the deal:
Thank You for Your invitation to come to You. And by Your Spirit, help me to be quick to come when You call – so I will see.
