GOOD NEWS ABOUT THE CROSS
John 10:16-18 I have other sheep that are not of this sheep pen. I must bring them also. They too will listen to my voice, and there shall be one flock and one shepherd. The reason my Father loves me is that I lay down my life–only to take it up again. No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down and authority to take it up again. This command I received from my Father.”

PERCEPTION // What I see/hear God saying/doing:
Shawn, I freely gave My life for you, but please know there are others for which I did the same. My kingdom is so much bigger than your “sheep pen”. Join more with the other churches in your area so we can be one flock under one shepherd.
PLAN // What I am going to do about it:
Live gratefully, out of love for the sacrifice I made for you on the cross. Join regularly with other believers across this valley who share the same love as you do. My life, My death is for a purpose, that My people might be one. I plan this week to join with other believers from our local churches, not to judge but to join together.
PRAYER // Seal the deal:
Jesus, thank You for laying down Your life for me. Help me to seek out those from other “sheep pens” who live out of gratitude for Your sacrifice just like I do.

Jami, what I hear Jesus saying to everyone–but perhaps you in particular–is that he lays his life down of his own accord, for those who are precious to him. I know you are a precious, beautiful person to him, and sometimes we need to be reminded of that since the enemy’s voice is always strong in our ears, telling us just the opposite. So just remember how precious you really are. Nobody can take that away from you.
