GOOD NEWS ABOUT THE GOSPEL
John 9:24-30 A second time they summoned the man who had been blind. “Give glory to God,” they said. “We know this man is a sinner.” He replied, “Whether he is a sinner or not, I don’t know. One thing I do know. I was blind but now I see!” Then they asked him, “What did he do to you? How did he open your eyes?” He answered, “I have told you already and you did not listen. Why do you want to hear it again? Do you want to become his disciples, too?” Then they hurled insults at him and said, “You are this fellow’s disciple! We are disciples of Moses! We know that God spoke to Moses, but as for this fellow, we don’t even know where he comes from.” The man answered, “Now that is remarkable! You don’t know where he comes from, yet he opened my eyes.

PERCEPTION // What I see/hear God saying/doing:
Jesus, it’s amazing to me how people’s preconceptions color what they choose to see! Even when You do miraculous and amazing things, it is not uncommon for our stubborn hearts to fail to see You and what You are doing.
PLAN // What I am going to do about it:
I wonder what miracles of Yours that I have missed recently – having seen them without recognizing them for what they really were? I am going to do a two-week reflection experiment. I will call it “The Miracle of the Day Journal.” I will set a daily alarm on my phone. At the buzzer I will review the last 24 hours and attempt to identify one event that very plausibly could have been Your specific divine supernatural intervention into the world around me and I will record it as the miracle of the day. I will use this exercise to help train my eyes to be on the lookout for You in the course of my daily routines.
PRAYER // Seal the deal:
Open my closed eyes and clear up my glazed eyes, Jesus, to actually see You in actual action today!
