GOOD NEWS ABOUT THE GOSPEL
John 5:5-11 One who was there had been an invalid for thirty-eight years. When Jesus saw him lying there and learned that he had been in this condition for a long time, he asked him, “Do you want to get well?” “Sir,” the invalid replied, “I have no one to help me into the pool when the water is stirred. While I am trying to get in, someone else goes down ahead of me.” Then Jesus said to him, “Get up! Pick up your mat and walk.” At once the man was cured; he picked up his mat and walked. The day on which this took place was a Sabbath, and so the Jews said to the man who had been healed, “It is the Sabbath; the law forbids you to carry your mat.” But he replied, “The man who made me well said to me, ‘Pick up your mat and walk.'”

PERCEPTION // What I see/hear God saying/doing:
Jesus, I love that You “saw”, “learned” and “asked” in your encounter with this man who was sick for 38 years. You intentionally kept Your heart tender, engaged and inquiring when You interacted with people and I want to be like that too.
PLAN // What I am going to do about it:
As I interact with people this week, I will intentionally try to see them, learn about their lives and ask about them while also keeping my ear open to the way the Holy Spirit would have me respond.
PRAYER // Seal the deal:
Father, I desire to keep my heart tender, engaged and inquiring about those that I encounter this week. You know them and I want to know them like You do. Enable me to be intentional, caring and responsive like Jesus. Amen.

Steph, I love what you said about the spirit of God being the healing waters. So many times I still wonder about the right words to say, technique, etc concerning healing. Most of it is just showing up with God’s spirit. Good words
