GOOD NEWS ABOUT RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD
1 John 2:1-6 My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have one who speaks to the Father in our defense – Jesus Christ, the Righteous One. He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world. We know that we have come to know him if we obey his commands. The man who says, “I know him,” but does not do what he commands is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But if anyone obeys his word, God’s love is truly made complete in him. This is how we know we are in him: Whoever claims to live in him must walk as Jesus did.

PERCEPTION // What I see/hear God saying/doing:
Happy Valentine’s Day! It’s perfect to be reminded about true love – God’s love – on this day. I’m sure glad for my Spiritual Defender – Jesus; because I am certainly one of those who “does sin”. But how is my effort? God is asking me today if I am fully allowing His Love to be made complete in me.
PLAN // What I am going to do about it:
Therefore, I don’t want to be a liar – I want the truth to be evident in me. Today I will read the 10 Commandments (Exodus 20), decide which one is a weak spot and do something active (combined with prayer) to prove I am willing to be obey. (I will report on this today in the comments.)
PRAYER // Seal the deal:
Father, show me what area is not in submission to your commands and give me the strength to obey.

This Valentine’s Day I want to love my Lord more and earnestly desire to show my love by living more like Jesus.

Thank you Pastor Bill for your wonderful message. I read Exodus 20 and have been reminded of where I need work and to be more aware of how I can be a better Christian.
