GOOD NEWS 4 SEEKERS SUNDAY

John 1:9-12 The true light that gives light to every man was coming into the world. He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him. He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him. Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.

PERCEPTION // What I see/hear God saying/doing:
I hear You reminding me Lord to recognize and make room for You in the busyness of my day. You are reminding me to receive You and take hold of the words that You whisper along the way. As I do so, I will live more as the child of God that You have come to make me.

PLAN // What I am going to do about it:PLAN // What I am going to do about it:
I will take moments throughout the day to intentionally slow down, listen for Your voice, and do what You say.

PRAYER // Seal the deal:
Thank you Lord for coming to make me Yours. Please help me to not miss You along the way.

PERCEPTION // What I see/hear God saying/doing:
What I hear The Lord saying to me is to recognize me and to receive me is an act of submission and humility.

PLAN // What I am going to do about it.:
No matter what happens that goes against sean's will today I will submit to it in humility. I will recognize and receive you in it, just as you submitted your life in humility to your Father.

PRAYER // Seal the deal.:
Lord in prayer I ask that you would help me to recognize and receive you in all things today. No matter how inconvenient and difficult.

PERCEPTION // What I see/hear God saying/doing:
I hear God asking me to recognize him in the "everyday", not just the holy things in my day.

PLAN // What I am going to do about it.:
I will look past and through "everyday" events and have a grateful heart for all my experiences throughout my day.

PRAYER // Seal the deal.:
Lord, please help my blind eyes an unbelief. I want to see you in all...not just some of this world.

"to all who received Him, He gave the right/authority/power/liberty to become children of God" I hear You telling me that receiving You and the power to change, to become more like Jesus, are intertwined.

PLAN // What I am going to do about it.:
Today I will look for ways to hear and receive You, with the goal of exercising the power of being more of a kingdom son and representative

PRAYER // Seal the deal.:
Jesus show Yourself today, may I see, receive and represent.

PERCEPTION // What I see/hear God saying/doing:
You gave us the right, and along with it the authority, power, liberty, and we have not fully recognized it, nor received it; we have not fully believed...

PLAN // What I am going to do about it.:
During this season of lent as I am in this place of intentional, focused, and concentrated pursuit of building intimacy with You, as I worship and pray, I want to be in "believe and receive" mode.

PRAYER // Seal the deal.:
Father, You have drawn me to this place, and I am in awe of You. I want to see the True Light, to receive it and to believe it in all its fullness, that I might understand and operate more fully within my rights as Your child. Amen.

PERCEPTION // What I see/hear God saying/doing:
I hear You saying that being Your child is everyone's right, because You have given it to them. We don't decide who is righteous and who isn't, and we don't get to judge the failures of others. We are called to simply love them. And that is the responsibility of being Your child--to go out and love the ones You put in our paths.

PLAN // What I am going to do about it.:
I am going to continue to fight the urge to judge people who seem to live like You don't exist. I will instead try to show them that there is a better way.

PRAYER // Seal the deal.:
May everything I say and do reflect the love You have for everyone.

Jesus waits to welcome us into His arms.

PLAN // What I am going to do about it.:
I am going to purposely focus on Him, His invitation, and love.

PRAYER // Seal the deal.:
Lord, I truly want to be more like You. Thank you for teaching, enabling and receiving me through your Holy Spirit.

PERCEPTION // What I see/hear God saying/doing:
I hear an EXCITING reminder that God came into the world and gave us the right to be his children should we just accept him. I hear God reminding me the simple joy I now have inside me is from him, and I have it just because someone told me about it and I received it. Sometimes my thoughts go to how undeserving I am and how truly holy and other God is. Today I hear to rejoice and be glad, all is being made right, Emanuel - God is WITH us. I have given you your life back, real life, life unbound, life linked again to me through my spirit. Live in freedom...and live it up!!

PLAN // What I am going to do about it.:
I am compelled to worship in gratitude! There is nothing to fear, I am a child of God. There is now nothing that can come between me and fellowship with God; nothing can separate me from his love. Not worries or fear or famine or disappointment or death.

PRAYER // Seal the deal.:
Praise you God of earth AND sky, how beautiful is your unfailing love. Help me to walk more fully in the actual abundance you have actually given me. Help me to BELIEVE, not just know about this, or believe it's yet to come, you are with us NOW. Help me pass this joy to others. And thank you God....what a gift!

PERCEPTION // What I see/hear God saying/doing:
...the world did not recognize him, his own did not receive him.... wondering how often I do not recognize or receive him, due to my own short sightedness in life (paying attention to the now, the immediate) and my own busyness that blinds my eyes and covers my ears.

PLAN // What I am going to do about it.:
To be intentional, especially during these 40 days of Lent, to slow down during my day and recognize His light in my life and receive Him. Slow, look, listen, breathe. The Jesus Prayer comes to mind, do this during my day.

PRAYER // Seal the deal.:
Holy Spirit, help me to slow down, intentionally seeing you in my life, seeing your light, your directing, your presence, remembering that you are the 'air I breathe'. Amen

"He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him." Jesus, you are reminding me that not long ago I did not receive you but you pursued me so patiently. I am humbled and so grateful.

PLAN // What I am going to do about it.:
I will share how my life has been transformed by your love with a co-worker who is on my heart.

Thank you Jesus for never giving up on me and placing people in my path that pointed me to you.
