Be Thou My Vision

Ancient Irish hymn translated by Mary E. Byrne

Be Thou my vision O Lord of my heart
Naught be all else to me save that Thou art
Thou my best thought by day or by night
Waking or sleeping Thy presence my light

Be Thou my wisdom and Thou my true word
I ever with Thee and Thou with me Lord
Thou my great Father I Thy true son
Thou in me dwelling and I with Thee one

Be Thou my vision O God of my days
Go Thou before me preparing the way
Guide Thou my footsteps whatever befall
Still be my vision O Ruler of all
Guide Thou my footsteps whatever befall

  1. Does anyone know where this was recorded? I have watched this several times. As I lay here recovering from surgery, listening to the hymn and watching Roby’s mad guitar skills it is like a drink of fresh spring water to my soul! Thank you!

  2. Can’t tell you where this was at, but since December 26, 2007 he has had a steady gig inside the pearly gates. You may also enjoy right on time http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SJlU7AqwdVM

  3. Thanks Art. Didn’t know he’d gone home. He was a blessing.
